Thiruvananthapuram’s International Airport recorded a 10% increase in passenger traffic during the 2024–25 financial year, indicating a successful performance.

In every aspect, 48,90,452 passengers—25.9 lakh domestic and 22.9 lakh international—passed through the airport during the year. Compared to the 44,11,235 passengers handled in the prior fiscal year, this is a notable increase.

On December 22, 2024, the airport handled 101 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) and served 16,578 people, setting a new record for its largest single-day passenger and aircraft traffic. This exceeded the previous record of 15,193 people and 95 ATMs set on January 29, 2024, demonstrating the airport’s increasing ability to effectively handle peak demand.

With charter routes included, the airport currently sees 14,614 passengers and 86 ATMs daily on average. With more frequent flights in response to growing demand and better infrastructure, the airport currently serves more than nine domestic and fourteen international destinations. Aircraft movements increased from 31,342 in FY 2023–24 to 33,316 during the fiscal year.

Trivandrum Airport, which is run by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, a division of Adani Enterprises Ltd., is still developing into one of the region’s main aviation hubs. Along with a remarkable increase in traffic, the airport has experienced significant technological and infrastructure improvements. E-Gates and additional check-in counters at Terminals 1 and 2 were two of the major improvements, which streamlined passenger flow and cut down on wait times.
