The request to expand the number of domestic flights from Calicut International Airport will be taken into consideration favorably by Air India Express.
In Delhi recently, MPs M.K. Raghavan and E.T. Mohammed Basheer were informed by Air India Express Managing Director Aloke Singh that the airline will no longer impose additional fees for Haj services from Calicut. After the new airport in Navi Mumbai opens, he said, a new route from Calicut to Mumbai would be introduced, and there are also plans to start a service from Calicut to Goa.
The MPs called for daily operations on international routes such Kuwait, Bahrain, and Al Ain, as well as flights from Calicut to Thiruvananthapuram and Kolkata. Additionally, they looked for new services to Singapore, Madinah, and Fujairah.
