‘Historical Flight Journey’ activists submitted a petition to BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, demanding that the international airport be granted ‘Point of Call’ status. The group approached former Union Minister of State Rajiv Chandrasekhar, who had reached Kannur, and requested the Union Civil Aviation Ministry to intervene in the matter.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who accepted the petition, assured that he would intervene with the central government to get the ‘Point of Call’ status. He said that it was interesting to see such an organization working for the development of the airport and why people love Kannur Airport so much.
