On Saturday evening, a British F-35 fighter jet reported low fuel levels and had to make an emergency landing at Trivandrum International Airport. Citing a fuel issue, the plane had requested immediate permission to land.
According to the news agency PTI, the jet, which is thought to have taken off from an aircraft carrier, made a safe landing at approximately 9.30 p.m. “The pilot requested permission to land after reporting low fuel. “Everything was handled professionally and promptly,” the person told PTI.
After receiving approval from airport officials, the aircraft made a safe and incident-free landing. At the moment, the plane is parked at the airport.
In order to refuel the fighter jet, the British side has now asked the Central government for authorization. The request is still being reviewed, and the Center’s approval is awaited.
