The establishment of an IT/ITES park on airport property is the proposal of Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial). Cial requested interest in hiring a consultant to assess the project’s viability.

The park will be established on 20 acres as part of the endeavor to raise money from the non-aero industry. “We’ve installed a few facilities that increase our non-aero sector revenue. We currently have a 50:50 revenue split across aircraft revenue and non-revenue segments. In the near future, we want to raise non-aero revenue to 60%,” a Cial official stated.

Technical bids will open on July 14th, the deadline for submitting bids to be chosen as consultants. On July 17, the financial bid will be opened. There will be a park inside the airport’s grounds between the flyover and the five-star hotel. “Once consultants are appointed and they submit report stating that the project is feasible, we will start preliminary works immediately,” added the official. Cial owns almost 500 acres of land at the airport.
