Following the conflict between India and Pakistan, three-tiered security checks have been implemented for travelers at the nation’s airports. In this context, directives have been issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). ID checks and body searches will be more stringent.
A ‘Secondary Ladder Point Check (SLPC)’ has been implemented in addition to the current security inspections that are conducted both at entry and after exiting the airport. This kind of inspection has begun at all Kerala airports.
As a result, there will be another security check close to the boarding gate. A handheld metal detector will be used to properly inspect all passengers, including their cabin luggage. They won’t be permitted to board the flight until after this. There will be complete CCTV coverage at every airport. The catering systems and airplanes should be inspected.
Due to increased security, Air India has requested that travelers arrive at all airports in the nation at least three hours before departure. Similar requests have been made by other airlines.
